October in the Smokies

The calendar says that it's Fall, but the temps in the area didn't get the memo! We have had wonderful weather these last few weeks and construction as well as outdoor projects are moving right along. We just finalized our office and laundry plans. We are now in the process of getting those and our site plan approved by the City. Once approval has been received, we can begin construction on that building.

We have certainly missed visiting with all of our guests, putting out our Fall decorations and welcoming everyone for the breath taking views of the Smoky Mountains. Hopefully if the office/laundry construction goes as planned and the weather cooperates a little (knock on wood...HA!) we are hoping for a Summer 2018 opening, sooner if possible. Of course an exact date will be announced, and until we have an office we are unable to take reservations. Thank you for your patience. We will continue to post pictures and updates, including when we will begin taking reservations as they become available.  ~ The Carr Family

Halloween Fun!

pumpkin-poopThe beauty of the Smoky Mountains kinda takes the spooky out of Halloween so area businesses go to great lengths to 'Boo it up' for your holiday away from home.  If you're going to be here on Halloween and the few days before, you can participate in several events for both adults and children.  Bring your best costumes, have a great time and share your photos with us on Facebook!

October 27-28:  "Scared and Kornfused?"
During the day, Kyker Farms is a great place for a fall outing.  Adults and kids of all ages can experience the Century Farm corn maze, pumpkin patch and hayrides.  But come dark on Friday and Saturday nights in October, you'll find Zombie Blaterz and The Trail at Kyker Farms beckoning those seeking spooky thrill and chills to choose their adventure!  Zombie Blaterz is an interactive paintball ride through Dead Woods, where the living will blast zombies discovered with zombie-sighting lights.  The Trail is a haunted corn field with endless frights!  Buck up and put your game face on because flashlights are not permitted!

October 28:  Island Halloween Carnival
Step right up! Step right up! Head to the Halloween Carnival at The Island in Pigeon Forge for their 5-9 p.m. bash featuring a variety of circus sideshows.  Arrive early in costume to enjoy 1/2 off unlimited rides passes all day long! End the night with a dance party filled with fun, games and giveaways from Coca-Cola.

Through October 28:  Dollywood Great Pumpkin LumiNights
Although Dollywood will be closed Halloween, you can have tons of pumpkin fun through Saturday prior.  Fun, food, entertainment and interactive experiences highlight the year with Great Pumpkin LumiNights.  Activities include Glow Maze, Character Meet & Greet, Master Pumpkin Carvers, Glow Face Painting, and a nighttime dance party.

October 29:  First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge Fall Festival
This free fall festival features games, food, candy, inflatables, and more for all ages from 6-8 p.m.

October 30:  Pigeon Forge Community Center

Now through October 31:  Ripley's Fright Nights
For 2017, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure will hold its 19th Annual Fright Nights show… “Contamination”! Dr. Streaper has gone completely mad and is contaminating all the residents, patients, and even the soldiers trying to stop him with a mutant virus that is turning them all into the unstoppable dead!

October 31:  WonderWorks Halloween Party
Just for Halloween night, WonderWorks has special activities throughout the evening for add-on Halloween ticket holders.

October 31:  Ripley's Trick or Treat Kick Off Carnival
